Is this Art Therapy?
To be clear, I am not an Art Therapist. My title is a " Holistic Creative Therapist". Art Therapy is a coveted title and is a regulated discipline within the clinical framework after many years of study. I offer Creative Arts Therapies, a multiple of different modalities that focuses on the PROCESS of making, and sits in the space of person centred self discovery.
What sorts of questions do people usually ask you about your creative therapy sessions, craft courses, or journaling workshops?
Common questions include: 'What activities will I be doing?', 'How can creative therapy help me?', 'How much is each course?', and 'How can I join?'.Depending on which course you choose we include lots of chatting ,art, music painting or journaling, or we may try sand and clay. All these modalities are proven to help in enabling you to move forward with your life in a more positive manner. Your sleep will improve and you may find that you feel much calmer and able to take control of your emotions. The prices of each course will be £10 per person and the journals are £25 and £35 respectively, however I hope to offer them for free once funding is available.
What common concerns or worries do people have before they decide to join you, and what answers do you usually give them?
Many people worry about the accreditation of holistic therapy. Be assured, I have graduated in Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapies, an accredited course by IPHM, IICT, and CMA. With 30 years of experience leading craft and wellbeing groups, including prior roles as an Early Years practitioner, E.L.S.A facilitator, and Youth Mental Health supporter.I have trained to work with vulnerable adults and children.I am fully insured so you are in experienced hands.
